Where does the OnMat App run?
The full-featured OnMat App runs on the Apple iPad. This includes belt level management and testing/promotion.
OnMat Lite runs on iPhone and Android which is a subset of the full-featured version on the iPad.
OnMat is also available on the desktop browsers.
OnMat Edge is the parent portal to keep up to date with the members progress and is available on iPhone and Android devices.
What kind of iPads do you recommend?
We recommend using iPads that are a minimum of 2 releases back from the newest iPad on the market.
This will ensure that the iPad can run the latest iOS versions from Apple that is required for OnMat to function properly taking advantage of the latest upgrades from Apple.
iPad mini’s are great for being on the mat while working with your members as it easily fits in your hand.
Is there a Free trial of OnMat?
Yes, we offer a 30-day full-featured Free trial.
Once the trial period is over you can continue to use all the free features listed in the pricing page.
As needed, you can enable other features you may need for a monthly fee.

How do I get the OnMat App?
The OnMat App is available in the Apple app store which you can download to any iPad for free. There is no limit to the number of iPads you can install on. Once you complete the signup process with JIBASoft on this website you will be provided your log-in credentials. OnMat can run on the Apple iPad, iPhone and desktop.
What can I expect after I complete the signup process?
Once you have completed the signup process on our website you will receive a Welcome email with your log-in credentials and a list of information we need to get you going. The welcome email will also contain a sample Excel template showing the format of how we need your membership roster.
Is my information secure?
Yes. We use current security standards used by the banking industry. You and only you decide who has access to your student information. JIBASoft staff will have access to your information as needed for support only. We understand that your privacy is critical!
Do payments collected go into my bank account?
Yes. We are not a billing service; we simply facilitate and manage the collections of your money via credit cards and/or eCheck (ACH). We also provide automated receipts whether cash, check, credit card or eCheck. And automated, customizable emails for late payments with links to correct payment problem and resubmit.
How is attendance taken?
Attendance can be taken several ways. You can place an iPad and entrance of the mat where the members can sign-in in a matter of a couple seconds.
This check-in screen also shows their current belt level and has the option to display the number of classes before they are eligible to test for their next belt.
OnMat will also automatically send out absence emails that you customize based on the number of days missed in hopes to revive the membership.
Check-in's can also be done remotely from the parent portal OnMat Edge.
Instructors can also check-in members who forgot to check-in.
How do you compare to the other software companies out there? What makes you different?
There are many companies that provide membership management and all have their pros and cons but we are the only ones where the day-to-day business flows can be done on the iPad via the OnMat App. Because we are app based we are much simpler to use and navigate while still providing the full functionality of a web-based solution. We also provide end-to-end belt management from defining your curriculum, checking off skills as students master them, recommending them for promotion, email parents of their test date and time, enabling parents to pay testing fees online to providing direct and immediate feedback to parents and students on how they did. We also send out a nice PDF report card automatically when they have been passed. We have literally saved studios hundreds of dollars in ink and paper alone with all the automation around our platform!
OnMat was built with the students and parents in mind in an effort to educate the parents through communications. The founders of JIBASoft are black belts, instructors, and parents of students in martial arts. We understand all aspects of studio operations and that retention is of utmost importance. You work hard to bring in students through the front door using traditional and modern marketing and we work hard on communication and education closing the back door.
Our billing is tightly integrated with the student profile so at a glance you can see their memberships, current balance, any failed payments and of course you can set them up as auto-pay…. Set it and forget it. We also have fully customizable late payment emails, many different ways to notify you of failed payments and membership expiring emails.
Our support is second to none. Our product is only as good as our support.
What is the discount rate for credit card & ACH transactions?
2.89% + $.25 per transaction for all credit cards including AMEX.
However, you have the ability to pass along these fees to your membership as a convenience fee saving you hundred if not in the thousands of dollars.
For ACH the cost is 1%.
Both credit card and ACH (eCheck) is supported.
There is a $15/monthly gateway fee.
How long does it take for credit card and/or ACH transactions to hit my bank account?
OnMat provides next business day funding for credit card transactions.
ACH (eCheck) payments arrive in the standard 5-7 business days.
After the member signs the membership agreement is it emailed to them?
Yes, and you will get emailed a copy as well.
Can members sign up with my school on their own? Like from an email or Facebook?
Yes. We provide a URL (web link) that can be clicked by your prospects to register directly into OnMat and charge their credit card IF there is any charge associated with that particular membership (i.e. trial).
How can OnMat help me collect tuition from late accounts?
OnMat automatically sends out a series of 3 late payment emails that you can customize; you are also notified on the Current Class screen of late accounts. You then have the option to “lock-out” student from checking in after the 3rd late payment email goes out which puts of a message to “Please come see the office” and suspends the account. This forces the member/parent to the office to take care of payment.
